Each POPCHIP is a unique, hand-painted artwork on a small canvas, mixing my double-stencil technique with an instinctive and expressive background. This collection was also designed with a modular spirit: every POPCHIP can stand alone as an artwork, but several pieces can be combined to form a larger visual ensemble — like a personal mosaic. Collectors can build their own composition based on what resonates with them: mountains, love, mythology, animals, or pop culture. Each POPCHIP remains an original artwork, never a print, offering an accessible entry point into my artistic world while retaining the same craftsmanship and authenticity as my larger pieces. ABOUT THE ARTWORK This POPCHIP revisits one of art history’s most iconic figures: the cherubic angel inspired by Michelangelo. I reinterpreted this classical motif through my double-stencil technique, playing with warm tones of orange, red and gold to give the figure a glowing, almost celestial energy. The contrast with the deep black shadows reinforces the feeling of a timeless guardian watching quietly from the background. This miniature piece bridges classical heritage with contemporary street art, transforming a familiar symbol into a vibrant, modern fragment ready to be collected or combined with other POPCHIPS. --- ABOUT THE ARTIST I’m Alexandre Petrus, a French stencil artist blending instinct and precision. I handcraft all my stencils and paint original artworks that merge pop culture, nature, mythology and emotion.
