This copy is the fourth impression August 1935 of the first edition for general circulation printed in July 1935. Original Sand-coloured cloth, spine lettered in gilt, upper board with centre gilt motto of double crossed swords ('The sword also means clean-ness and death'). Top page edges gilt. Firm and well bound copy. External covers in nice shape, slightly marked, and with light wear to corners, edges and spine ends. Internally the book is in very good condition. Pen marks with pencil and ink on first front free endpaper page. Pages are clean, with light foxing marks to the margin of few pages, and page edges. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. The text and plates are clean and bright (Please see pictures).
