The Panavia Tornado entered service in the late 1970s as a multi-role strike aircraft replacing several different types of aircraft. The unusual swing wing configuration enabled efficient performance and manoeuvrability at both low and high speeds, and the Tornado excelled at flying fast and low - characteristics that enabled it to undertake unique missions, most notably in Iraq and Afghanistan. In tribute, our Tornado desk sculpture has been cast in solid aluminium and polished to a high sheen such that its subtle curves and angles catch the light.
