BALL - Engineer Hydrocarbon Hunley - PM2096B-S1J-BK - Uomo - 2014

Ball Watch Company Engineer Hydrocarbon Hunley Limited Edition ref : PM2096B-S1J-BK Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Hunley is a great selection of features and design solutions, which guarantees a high-quality and useful men's sports watch. The watch is a very innovative model, combining several notable engineering patents and systems. System: crown protection with locking. SpringLock: system protects the balance wheel from impacts. Amortiser: system protects the automatic Swiss caliber BALL RR1201 from damage, ensuring the watch's operation from external impacts. The Amortiser system is among the most exotic functions that may exist. Namely, the system locks the automatic rotor of a mechanical movement, preventing it from rotating. In this way, the automatic watch temporarily becomes a manual winder. Ball claims that with the damping system turned on (which the user must do manually), the watch can withstand a fall of 5.2 meters (in their tests). To lock the rotor, you first need to remove the watch from your wrist, then go to the back of the watch and literally turn the inner part from the “Off” position to the “On” position. In this way, the automatic watch temporarily turns into a manual winder. Impressively, even with this removable part of the back case, the Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Hunley watch has a water resistance of 200 meters. It also has a shock resistance of up to 7500 Gs and an antimagnetic resistance of 4800 A/m. The watch has a size of 42 mm and is very comfortable to wear. The wide lugs and the locking crown guard give a massive presence on the hand. The dial has a matte texture that contrasts well with the polished hands and hour markers. The luminescence in the dial is from tritium gas tubes. Ball also uses traditional SuperLumiNova luminescence on the ceramic bezel insert. The bezel rotates unidirectionally for added functionality. It has a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The watch is flawless. No box or papers.
