Saïdou Dicko - "Papillons de nuit"
Saïdou Dicko was born in 1979 in Déou, Burkina Faso. He lives and works in Paris.
At the age of 5, Dicko, a Peulh shepherd, learned to draw by tracing the shadows of his sheep on the soil of the Sahel. Self-taught painter and photographer since 2005, he likes to juxtapose opposites to communicate to the viewer about equality, union, and maternal love. Through his installations mixing video, photography and painting, he presents poetic works that reveal him, day by day.
Awarded a prize during his first exhibition in Off of the Dakar Biennale in 2006. His work is now represented in many international events (biennials, fairs, exhibitions).
