The label of this iconic single malt is partly based on that of the original release, dating back to the 1980s: yes, because when we talk about Springbank, 21 years old, we cannot fail to think of the different releases released, in a very occasional way, between 1979 and 2005, when the reserves of this incredible whisky were declared exhausted. If we consider that from 1980 to 1989 the distillery remained closed, we can fully understand how rare the few vintages marketed (1995, 1998 and 2005, the latter in just 2400 units) are. Today, with the full restoration of the Campbeltown distillery, the 21-year-old has officially returned to the catalogue, although production remains very small and getting a bottle is far from easy.
