The traditional image of Johnnie Walker, the ‘Striding Man’, always faces to the right, signifying ‘progress’. Around the turn of the millennium, Johnnie Walker launched a global campaign that began in Belgium, in which the man on the logo started walking to the left. This was intended to show that progress sometimes means breaking new ground.
The base bears the text: “JOHNNIE WALKER Scotch Whisky BORN 1820 - STILL GOING STRONG”. It is made of a hard plastic called Mica.
This specific type of figurine may date from the 1960s or later.
These figurines have not been made for a long time, making them true collector's items.
