This excellent El Dorado rum does not refer to a château, but to the Versailles Plantation in Guyana, an 18th-century estate once owned by the French L’Amirault family.
An evocative name, perfectly suited to the bright, golden hue of the plantation’s rums!
Aged for 12 years in ex-Bourbon oak barrels, this El Dorado Single Still rum was distilled in a truly one-of-a-kind wooden pot still known as “Versailles.”
The distillery uses historic stills as a unique signature for its different expressions: Port Mourant, Enmore, and others.
In this way, the house keeps the heart of tradition beating in Guyana, a territory nestled between Brazil, Venezuela, and Suriname.
On tasting, this rum will greatly appeal to chocolate lovers; the finish is smooth and infused with cigar aromas.
