Antique octagonal table with spindle-shaped legs, often called a "cabaret table", with its distinctive turned legs. Tables of this type were popular from the 17th century onwards and were used as occasional tables, gaming tables or coffee tables. This table dates from the late 19th or early 20th century and shows an Art Nouveau or Gothic style. It was recently renovated and reinforced with metal reinforcements. It is currently in very good condition. Features Shape and style: The table top is octagonal and the legs are turned in a distinctive "bubble" or "bobbin" style. Material: Usually made of solid oak or other hardwood. Structure: The table is stable thanks to the X-shaped bottom joint (called entretoise) that connects the legs close to the ground.
