Built in 1900 according to a proven model, this very well-preserved violin, crafted in an unknown workshop in Mirecourt, is both a typical and particularly valuable Mirecourt work. The beautiful clear varnish is a light golden colour; it shows a light patina and some signs of wear and use, not unusual for a violin of this age that was obviously played with pleasure.
