A rare and attractive collection of original vintage studio portrait postcards featuring Greta Garbo, one of the most iconic actresses of classic Hollywood cinema.
The set consists of approximately 10 postcards dating from the 1930s–1940s, published by well-known German and European publishers such as Ross Verlag and Iris Verlag. Several cards feature original Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) studio portraits, including scenes with Ramon Novarro.
These postcards were officially issued for promotional purposes during the golden age of cinema. All cards bear period markings such as “Reproduction verboten” and original publisher credits, confirming their authenticity as vintage items.
Condition is generally very good for their age, with light age-related toning and minor edge wear. No modern reproductions. A beautiful and historically interesting set for collectors of classic film memorabilia or vintage photography.
