Hamilton - Senza prezzo di riserva - Vintage - Uomo - 1950-1959

Vintage Hamilton likely from late 1950s to early 1960s, most likely circa 1958–1963. Why I date it then: Dial design: The clean silver sunburst dial with applied baton markers mixed with Arabic numerals is very typical of Hamilton’s post-war dress watches. Earlier 1940s models tend to be more ornate, while mid-60s models often move toward full batons or more modern fonts. Logo and typography: The simple Hamilton wordmark with the stylized “H” matches their branding from the late ’50s onward. Case shape: The relatively slim, round case with modest lugs is consistent with late ’50s American-market Hamiltons. Earlier cases were often smaller; later ’60s cases grow larger and more angular. No date complication: By the mid-1960s, date windows became much more common. A time-only watch like this fits better before that shift. “Swiss” marking: Hamilton transitioned many models to Swiss production in this era, especially toward the early ’60s.A classic mid-century Hamilton wristwatch, made during the brand’s American era before the 1969 transition to Swiss production. Minimalist silver sunburst dial with Arabic numerals and slim batons — very much the 1960s Hamilton aesthetic. ⸻ Condition • The watch shows the expected cosmetic wear for a vintage piece. • The dial appears original with an even finish and no obvious re-touching. • Stainless-steel snap-back case with period-correct HAMILTON markings. • Supplied with a new 18mm leather strap ⸻ Movement (Please Read) This is a manual-wind Hamilton movement. I have not opened the case, but here’s what I can confirm: • The watch winds and runs, and I’ve included a video showing the second hand moving for a full minute. ⸻ Size • Case width (excluding crown): 33mm • Lug width: 18mm • Slim, comfortable proportions typical of a 1960s dress watch ⸻ Notes A genuine mid-20th-century Hamilton with its original charm intact. It has not been polished or heavily restored, and would make a great project for a collector or anyone who enjoys vintage mechanical watches. Sold as-is, running but requiring service.
