Armadietto - armadio a pannelli precoce - Quercia

Bella e precoce credenza olandese a pannelli.
L'unico ornamento sono i pannelli stessi.
Questa semplicità era molto amata dagli olandesi calvinisti.
Tra il 1610 e il 1630.
Lo stile è chiaramente rinascimentale con una tendenza calvinista, non sovraccarico, anzi sobrio, che ci mostra un insieme di grande forza.

Molto bel rovere tagliato a quarti, immediatamente riconoscibile per l'evidente motivo nella venatura.
Quelle strisce 'tigerate' nella venatura le chiamiamo wagenschot.
Quando tagli il legno esattamente nel centro della sezione (quartieri), i vasi nutritivi che corrono dal cuore al tronco emergono chiaramente.
In questa credenza vediamo un effetto davvero splendido nel legno.

Very beautiful quarter-sawn oak, immediately recognizable by the striking grain in the wood.
These tiger stripes in the grain are called wainscot.
When you cut the wood straight through the center of the trunk (quartering), the food vessels running from the center to the trunk are exposed.

The cabinet still stands on continuous uprights all the way to the floor, which is early; ball feet only came into fashion at the end of the 17th century and in the 18th century.
Beautiful panels also adorn the sides.
