Sony - TTS-6000, TB-1000, and PUA-7 Turntable Sold from my own collection, a very rare combination of a Sony TTS-6000 with a separate PUA-7 and a wooden TB-1000 plinth. The TTS-6000 uses a brushless and slotless (BSL) motor with a simple structure without slots. Because this motor has no slots that cause cogging, torque irregularity is small and quiet and smooth rotation is achieved. Furthermore, a load characteristic of 0% rotational fluctuation is achieved, even when tracing the outer circumference of a gramophone record with a needle pressure of 60 g per arm using three arms. A magnesium disc servo with crystal lock is used for the servo circuit, which affects the rotational accuracy and stability of the turntable. In this method, the rotation speed is detected by a multi-gap head (MGH) based on the speed detection signal recorded at high density on the edge of the turntable. In addition, to prevent the influence of the temperature characteristics of the devices used, a crystal lock circuit is introduced to phase-lock the detected signal, limiting the rotation performance to the measurement detection limit. It uses an electronic brake and employs a special multi-gap head for purely electronic braking. In this operation, the brake is applied not only during the stop operation, but also when switching from 45 rpm to 33 1/3 rpm. It quickly moves to the stop and steady rotation with approximately 1 second at the stop and approximately 0.5 seconds at 45 rpm to 33 1/3 rpm. The turntable is made of precision-machined 32 cm thick die-cast aluminum with sound damping. Uses a crystal stroboscope with crystal distribution. The neon tube emits 120 independently produced pulses via a crystal oscillator, making the flash pattern sharp enough to appear stationary.
