This Steiff squirrel "Possy," comes with its original chest tag. The figure is made of gold and caramel-colored mohair, with a cream-colored underbelly ,and chest. It has dark glass or plastic eyes, a hand-stitched black floss nose and mouth, and transparent whiskers. The ears are accented with long ear tufts. ​Possy is holding an acorn between its front paws. He has an extra-long, bushy tail with dark brown airbrushed stripes to mimic natural fur patterns. The piece has its original Steiff chest tag with a yellow bear head logo and blue "Possy" lettering against a red and white border. While the metal "Button in Ear" (Knopf im Ohr) is missing, the chest tag design confirms it as a mid-century Steiff Possy. Condition is lovely with light surface wear. All stitches are in place, the tail is full and bushy, both eyes are intact, and the tag is in good condition.
