An elegant group consisting of two vintage Japanese Bizen ware ceramic vessels, executed in the
traditional unglazed technique for which Bizen pottery is renowned.
Both pieces display characteristic natural ash deposits and subtle firing effects created in
wood-fired kilns. The surfaces show warm earthy tones ranging from deep reddish-brown to
darker shades, with organic fire marks and natural variations that make each piece unique.
Their aesthetic reflects the Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy, valuing simplicity, balance, and
the beauty of natural imperfection.
The larger vessel features a classic elongated bottle form with gently sloping shoulders and
a narrow neck. The smaller piece has a rounded body with a fitted lid, forming a harmonious
and well-balanced pair.
