A rare large and decorative terrestrial globe by G. Thomas, Paris, dating from approximately 1930, mounted on its original wooden stand with brass meridian.
This impressive globe shows the political geography of the early 20th century and reflects the cartographic style of the interwar period. With its large diameter of 32 cm, this is a striking display piece, suitable for collectors, decorators, or lovers of antique scientific instruments.
The globe is covered with printed paper gores and mounted in a graduated meridian ring on a turned wooden base.

Condition

Despite the damages, the globe remains a very decorative and attractive object with strong display value.
