You are bidding on an 1890 Laubè flute from flute heaven La Couture Boussey, the place where all the great makers had their workshops. The flute is made from a beautiful dark cocuswood, with German silver fittings, including a Tulou F# key
. The flute was fully restored some years ago, and plays very well. There's a repaired crack in the head, and one in the barrel, that have been stable since. Sounding length is 589mm, for me the flute plays at A440 with the slide fully pushed in.......This is a flute of one of the higher end makers, which I hope you will recognise in your bidding....
