Extremely rare Roman glass libations bowl (Trulla) with deep cup, outfolded and rounded rim. The bowl is standing on a round base. The handle is no longer present.
-> A Trulla is a glass or metal vessel with a long horizontal handle (ladle or dipper). They were used in the Roman Empire for libations, drinking or pouring purposes during religious ceremonies, and possibly in bathing activities.
Diameter bowl: ± 118,5 mm
Condition: incomplete, restored in some parts. Attractive colouring with some deposits and signs of iridescence. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.
