A unique ensemble of six (6) Greek travel icons and a traditional fabric amulet, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. This collection captures the essence of Greek religious art and pilgrimage traditions.
-Theotokos of Mount Athos: A circular wooden icon featuring carving inscription and floral decoration on the frame.
-St. Nicholas with Amulet: Includes a traditional fabric "phylacto" (blessing), a small hand-stitched pillow often containing holy relics or cotton with blessed oil.
-Annunciation of Tinos: A detailed embossed metal plate representing the famous Church of Panagia Evangelistria in Tinos island.
-Virgin Mary "Glykofilousa": Featuring a decorative metal "riza" (cover) with red stones.
-St. John the Baptist: Presented as the "Angel of the Desert" on a wooden panel.
-Theotokos Medallion: A silver-toned metal relief set in a wooden frame with ornate corners.
Very good vintage condition with natural patina consistent with age.
