For several decades, Inta Ruka has been portraying her compatriots in rural regions, resulting in the extensive photo series “My Country People,” a piece of contemporary history and a nuanced portrait of society, comparable in its systematic approach to the work of August Sander, Stefan Moses, Dorothea Lange, or Walker Evans. Published in connection with the Republic of Latvia’s participation in the 48th International Exhibition of Contemporary Art at the Venice Biennale.

Condition: very good with minor signs of handling and dirt on the cardboard cover/"dustjacket"and book block, interior: pages clean and unmarked, minor crease to upper right corner of the last pages. Overall very good condition.
