Working with layered acrylic gestures, Alessandro Criscito captures energetic actions and freezes them on the canvas, transforming motion into a space for contemplation. The result is a surface where intensity and silence coexist, inviting the viewer to slow down and engage with the present moment. In a world driven by speed and overstimulation, my work proposes a conscious act: to stop, to acknowledge movement, and from there, to inhabit stillness. Rather than representation, my painting seeks to create an experience - an opportunity to reconnect with the present and reflect on one’s own pace of life.
