Universal Genève - Senza prezzo di riserva - Unisex - 1900-1949

Universal Genève began its activity in 1894 under the name Universal Watch. Numa Emile Descombes and Ulysse George Perret were its first watch engineers charged with a dream, to create watches with the most beautiful complications ever seen to date. Pieces such as this Universal Geneve Cabriolet were created in 1927 - the predecessor of the well-known Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso. At that time Universal Genève was high above today's leading brands, such as Rolex. Not only did they decide to specialize in chronograph watches with all kinds of complications (complete calendars, moon phases, second-time zone,...) but they also decided to develop their calibers, leaving aside Ebauches such as Venus or Lemania itself (creators of Omega's caliber 321, the Moonwatch). SPECIFICATIONS Universal Geneve Period:1940's. Caliber 262, Manual. 17 Jewels. 18000 A/h 18Kt Gold case Case size: 37 mm (excluding crown). Lug to lug: 44 mm. Thickness: 8.67mm Strap width: 20 mm. Leather strap (not original) Buckle: metal (not original). Total weight: 41.14g Textured cream dial (patina) Sub Seconds In working order Box: no. Papers: no. This model features a textured dial that has taken on an incredible patina over time. It has an 18Kt gold case and a Cal.262 movement developed from scratch by the brand itself. Please note that as with all vintage timepieces, this watch is sold as-is. While it is currently in working order, no guarantees can be made regarding future performance or water resistance due to its age
