The smooth taotie or monster mask has a flat head. The back side shows the body of the chilong and a yin-yang symbol. This thick amulet has a light green color and shiny appearance. It is made according the Chinese taste. Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Provenance: This jade comes from inland China. A Good jade, suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift!
