LEGO Vikings Chess Set is a Gear Board Games set released in 2006 featuring 24 minifigures configured as 32 chess pieces. The set depicts opposing Viking factions with exclusive minifigure variants for the rooks, knights, and the good and evil queens, and it is the first LEGO set to include dark blue cloth capes. As stated on the box, some elements are factory-glued: the 4x4 black and white plates forming the squares are affixed to a 32x32 white baseplate, and the rook builds are permanently assembled except for their front shields.
