The first edition of this beautifully illustrated early twentieth century study of Norway, the collaborative work of Anglo-Dutch painter Nico Jungman, and his wife, Beatrix Jungman. They collaborated on three such works, publishing studies of Holland and Normandy also.With discussions of reindeer, legends and literature, arts and crafts and the fjords, amongst a variety of other topics.Illustrated with seventy five coloured plates from Nico Jungman, each retaining the original captioned tissue guard. Collated, complete, inside like fine condition, endpapers tanned with light wear. Externally original decorated cloth with light wear around edges and corners, shelfwear, spine lightly sunned.
Overall very well preserved copy!
