Dirk Reinartz, born 1947 in Aachen, Germany, was Professor of Photography at Muthesius-Hochschule in Kiel. He had been documenting Richard Serra`s work for over 25 years. He died in 2004.
In spring 1981, Dirk Reinartz studied photography at the Folkwangschule in Essen. From 1971 to 1977 he was a photo reporter for "Stern". Reinartz taught photography at the Muthesius University in Kiel.
