Armadietto - armadio a pannelli precoce - Quercia

Bellissimo e precoce armadio olandese a pannelli.
L'unica decorazione sono i pannelli stessi.
Questa semplicità era molto amata dagli olandesi calvinisti.
Tra il 1610 e il 1630.
Lo stile è chiaramente rinascimentale con una tendenza calvinista, non vistoso, anzi sobrio, da cui risulta un insieme potente.

Molto bella quercia tagliata a quarti, immediatamente riconoscibile per l'evidente disegno della venatura.
Quelle strisce «tigerate» nella venatura le chiamiamo wagenschot.
Quando si taglia il legno proprio al cuore della tronco (quartiering), i vasi conduttori che corrono dal cuore verso il tronco restano esposti.

In questo armadio vediamo un effetto davvero magnifico nel legno.

L'armadio è ancora poggiato su montanti continui fino al pavimento, che è precoce; i piedi a sfera divennero di moda solo verso la fine del XVII secolo e nel XVIII secolo.
Belle pannellature adornano anche i lati.

Beautiful and early Dutch panel cabinet.
The only decoration is the panels themselves.
This simplicity was very popular with the Calvinist Dutch.
And it also gives strength to the design.
Between 1610 and 1630.

Very beautiful quarter-sawn oak, immediately recognizable by the striking grain in the wood.
These tiger stripes in the grain are called wainscot.
When you cut the wood straight through the center of the trunk (quartering), the food vessels running from the center to the trunk are exposed.

The cabinet still stands on continuous uprights all the way to the floor, which is early; ball feet only came into fashion at the end of the 17th century and in the 18th century.
Beautiful panels also adorn the sides.
