Laminated spruce top, laminated Mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck (later years been used Nato for necks) beautiful dark rosewood fingerbaord and bridge. Not a solid top model, but given the quality of materials, craftsmanship, attention to detail and the fact that it has dried and matured beautifully with years, lacks none of the tone/volume/presence/overtones of a solid top guitar. Much like Yamahas and Fenders of Japanese origin of the same era. Black and white binding all over the guitar, the body is gloss but the neck is semi-gloss finish which gives the guitar quiet a classy look & feel. Nice chimey tones and lots of overtones ringing and singing out of its sizey body. Despite xtra-light strings!
