Elegante sedia antica in legno intagliato, caratterizzata da una struttura scultorea di grande impatto estetico. Il design presenta linee curvilinee e dinamiche, con base a X e seduta composta da listelli arcuati.

Lo schienale è finemente decorato con ricchi motivi ornamentali e presenta al centro un medaglione intagliato raffigurante Dante Alighieri, elemento iconografico tipico del gusto neorinascimentale ottocentesco. Questa scelta decorativa richiama i valori di cultura, erudizione e identità storica italiana.

I braccioli terminano con teste zoomorfe finemente scolpite, raffiguranti creature fantastiche ispirate a leoni e figure grottesche rinascimentali. Tali elementi avevano una funzione simbolica apotropaica, ovvero di protezione, oltre a conferire forza espressiva e carattere all’intero arredo.

The armrests terminate in finely carved zoomorphic heads, representing fantastical creatures inspired by lions and Renaissance grotesques. These elements traditionally had an apotropaic function, symbolically protecting the owner, while also enhancing the expressive power of the piece.
