Brocca - Ceramica, peltro - Brocca d'epoca
This is a vintage German pitcher made from glazed ceramic and fitted with a nicely detailed pewter lid.
It has a deep cobalt blue body decorated with raised floral elements in red and green tones, along with a central medallion and a small heraldic motif. The overall look is very typical of mid-20th century German craftsmanship, both decorative and practical.
The pewter lid is solid and well-preserved, with a classic thumb lift and engraved details that add to its character. The base is marked “0.25 L”, indicating its original use as a quarter-liter beer stein.
Based on the style and markings, the piece most likely dates from the 1950s–1960s.
It works well as a decorative object, but it can also still be used if desired.
