Microscopio - 1900-1910 - Francia - Fachet et Flis

Antique French Nachet et Fils Paris Brass Microscope – ca. 1880–1910 – Adjustable Scientific Instrument: Original antique French brass microscope by Nachet et Fils, Paris, dating approximately from the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1880–1910). Nachet et Fils was one of France’s respected makers of scientific and optical instruments, and their microscopes are sought after by collectors of antique scientific equipment and decorative curiosities. This example features a classic brass construction with black lacquered stage, adjustable body tube, and integrated mirror beneath the stage. The engraved Paris maker’s marking and traditional French design strongly support the period attribution. The microscope has a beautiful authentic aged appearance with untouched patina developed over decades. It remains an attractive display object and collectible scientific instrument. Dimensions: * Maximum height: approx. 34 cm * Minimum height: approx. 29 cm * Base: approx. 10 × 8 cm Condition: The microscope shows expected signs of age and use, including scratches, wear, oxidation, and natural brass patina consistent with its age. It has not been polished or restored. Optics and functionality have not been professionally tested and it is therefore sold as an antique collectible and decorative scientific instrument. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description. A fine late 19th-century scientific object suitable for collectors, cabinet of curiosities displays, antique interiors, or enthusiasts of early scientific instruments. ⸻ Historical Notes Nachet et Fils was a renowned Parisian manufacturer of microscopes and optical instruments during the 19th century. Their instruments are collected internationally for both scientific history and decorative appeal. This microscope would suit: * collectors of scientific instruments * medical history collections * cabinet of curiosities displays * Victorian / Belle Époque interiors * steampunk decor * museums or academic interiors
