Descrizione del venditore
French School, 20th century. Decorative oil painting on canvas, measuring 50 x 60 cm, signed in the lower left corner.
The work depicts a charming Parisian-style café or restaurant façade, with a striped awning, teal-green storefront, warm interior lighting, small tables and chairs, flower details and surrounding urban architecture. The sign on the awning reads “Le Petite Prange”, adding a distinctive decorative character to the composition.
The painting shows visible brushwork and textured impasto passages, especially in the pavement, architectural surfaces, awning and wall areas. The lively palette combines teal, blue, ochre, brown, white, red and warm yellow tones, creating an atmospheric urban scene with a pleasant decorative quality.
The style and execution suggest a French School work from the second half of the 20th century, inspired by Parisian café and street views.
The painting is in good overall condition, as shown in the photographs, with minor signs of age and handling consistent with the nature of the piece. The canvas is mounted on its original wooden stretcher. Sold without frame.
Accompanied by a descriptive certificate/authentication from Casa d’Aste Brina. Professional and secure packaging for shipping.
