Dear Bidders, Thank you for your interest in my offer. You are bidding here on an elegant WMF coffee and tea service set, produced in Germany in the early 20th century, circa 1900–1915. Designed in the distinctive Jugendstil / Art Nouveau style, the set features geometric forms, stylised ornamental decoration and architectural handles inspired by the Vienna Secession movement. Manufactured by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), one of Germany’s most renowned metalware companies, the set reflects the high-quality craftsmanship and innovative design associated with the period. The ensemble includes coffee pot, teapot, milk jug and lidded sugar bowl, all executed in silver-plated metal with striking decorative reliefs and elegant proportions. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: WMF GmbH (formerly WMF AG,for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a formerly listed manufacturer of household, catering and hotel goods, which was founded in 1853 by Daniel Straub and the Schweizer brothers. In 1880, through the merger with Ritter & Co., the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik AG was created. SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS: * Made in Germany around 1900-1915 * Stamps: Ostrich stamp, I/O (silver coating which is equivalent to 1 gram of silver per 1dm2) * High: 25 / 20 / 15 / 10 cm * With patina belonging to the age (can be removed if you wish more shiny look) * Sugar pot is additionally gold plated inside * Please watch carefully all the pictures, they are also a part of description ( each one can be enlarged ) * I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc. - Any major damage -s is / are ALWAYS shown in the photos - * Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end The set will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ). IMPORTANT: If, however, the item is damaged or lost, please contact me via the internal Catawiki chat. According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation. In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment. Please don’t bid if you don’t accept that.
