Nagoya - 63cm, 2.7kg Overview: An exceptional and beautifully preserved vintage Japanese bowl-back mandolin (Neapolitan style), model No. 228, hand-crafted in 1967 by the globally respected Suzuki Violin Co., Ltd. (鈴木バイオリン製造) in Nagoya, Japan. Suzuki is legendary for its fine stringed instruments, and this 1960s model showcases the peak of the golden era of Japanese lutherie. Complete with its original protective hard case, it is a stellar find for musicians and collectors of vintage acoustic instruments. Design & Craftsmanship: * Model & Year: No. 228, officially dated 1967 on the internal label. * Body Style: Classic round bowl-back body meticulously constructed with multiple nested wooden ribs, delivering a rich, bright tone and traditional resonance. * Fine Details: Features an intricately patterned soundhole rosette, a distinctive butterfly/organic shaped dark pickguard, and original tuning mechanisms with clean white pegs. * Provenance: Retains its original internal paper label reading "REGISTERED TRADE MARK S SUZUKI VIOLIN CO., LTD.
