Vintage Italian Fontanini / Simonelli likely silver plated Pirate Boy Figurine "Peter".
A charming vintage Italian figurine of a young pirate boy named "Peter," depicted serving drinks on a tray while holding a small sword, with a wooden barrel at his feet.
Maker/Marks:
Marked "DEPOSE ITALY 812" with additional hallmark on the base of the figure. Déposé” is a French term meaning “registered” or “protected design.”
Sticker on the underside of the base from Italian gift shop "Bomboniere e Regali di Raffaele Chiacchio" (Grumo Nevano, NA). Grumo Nevano, near Naples, is a well-known center for giftware and silver-plated decorative items.
Attributed to Fontanini / Simonelli production (common for these whimsical Depose Italy child/pirate figurines).
Production Era:
Likely 1960s–1970s (pre-1980s Fontanini pieces typically carry the "Depose Italy" marking with spider/crab-style hallmarks).
