— 4 dessert/cake plates (diameter: 19 cm)
— 3 demitasse cups (height: 7 cm, diameter: 6.5 cm)
— 3 saucers (diameter: 14 cm)
Note: The set originally comprised 4 demitasse cups and
4 saucers; one cup and one saucer were lost during a house
move. All remaining pieces are in perfect condition.
The Hermès Moustiers line was produced in the 1980s and 1990s
in collaboration with the faïence workshops of
Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Provence — one of the historic centres
of French earthenware production. The Toucan motif, with its
vivid tropical birds among lush foliage and characteristic
yellow-and-green border, is among the most sought-after patterns
in this line. Each piece is individually hand-painted, resulting
in subtle variations that reflect the artisanal character of
the production.
Provenance: Acquired in the 1990s at Hermès Frankfurt am Main.
Condition: Excellent — all pieces without chips, cracks
or repairs.
