Max Cabanes (Béziers, 1947) is a renowned French comic book author and illustrator. He is best known for his epic fantasy series “Dans les Villages” (since 1976), with a distinctive realistic, atmospheric, and often sensual drawing style. Cabanes began his career in the 1970s at magazines such as Pilote and À Suivre. His work is internationally appreciated for its beautiful atmosphere, strong characters, and masterful coloring.
