Citizen - Automatic Day-Date - Senza prezzo di riserva - 8200A - Uomo - 1970-1979

Citizen Automatic Day-Date - Cal. 8200 - Blue Dial - 1970s - 36mm Citizen automatic day-date wristwatch from the mid-to-late 1970s, powered by the Citizen calibre 8200A (17 jewels). Stainless steel cushion case of approximately 36mm, blue sunburst dial with applied faceted baton markers, fitted on an integrated-style steel mesh bracelet. The 8200 is one of Citizen's most significant automatic movements: introduced around 1975, it became the brand's standard self-winding calibre through the quartz era and went on to underpin the long-running Eagle 7 line that rivalled the Seiko 5. The same architecture survives today in the Miyota 8-series. This example is a standard-line piece — no model badge on the dial — representing accessible, mechanically sound 1970s Japanese vintage in the more sought-after blue colourway, with the period-typical bilingual English/Japanese day disc. - Movement: Automatic, Citizen cal. 8200A, 17 jewels, hand-winding capable - Case: Stainless steel, ~36mm (excl. crown), cushion shape, original brushed finish - Dial: Blue sunburst, applied faceted baton markers, day-date at 3 - Crystal: Acrylic, domed - Bracelet: Integrated-style stainless steel mesh, folding clasp (stamped "Stainless Steel", unsigned) - Functions: Hours, minutes, seconds, day, date - Water resistance: Untested for current vintage seal - Year: ca. 1975–1978 The dial is clean with original printing and intact applied markers; the case retains its brushed surfaces and shows light handling scratches consistent with age, with no signs of heavy polishing. The acrylic crystal carries minor surface marks. Hands are original with aged luminous fill. The mesh bracelet is a period-style fit with an unsigned clasp. Movement is automatic with manual-wind capability. From a private collection. No box or papers. Shipped fully insured, tracked, and signature-required worldwide.
