A very RARE and beautiful and interesting book..."Le Pôle meurtrier. Journal du capitaine Scott. Ouvrage adapté de l'anglais par M. Ch. Rabot et illustré de 91 gravures et d'une carte" published in 1914 by Hachette. On board the "Discovery", in 1901-1904, then during a new expedition (1910-1913), he reached the South Pole (Jan. 1912) which had been discovered by Roal Amundsen a few weeks earlier (Dec. 1911).
Inside light stains but overall clean and complete, map in very good condition, externally original pictorial cloth with very light signs of wear. overall very well preserved copy!!!
