Germ De Jong (1886-1967) - A Dutch Village Scene

Here we have a beautiful early 20th Century oil on canvas by Dutch artist Germ De Jong. This antique painting features a colourful display of a village street scene showing the architecture of the dwellings and leading you to know what is round the bend. The artwork is signed and dated 1924 lower movement. The artist’s use of brushwork and colour, often vibrant and bold, is seen to great effect in this piece of art. I am just amazed how wonderful this quality painting keeps you discovering more each time you view. The painting is signed lower left A fine quality period piece which would grace any wall in your home.

Property from a British Private Collection. Having been acquired by the parents of the present owner from Kunstzaal van Lier, Amsterdam, Netherlands circa 1990. Before I purchased for my collection which I’m now selling.

In good condition. Appearing in a shabby frame giving it a rugged look. The frame is a gift no compensation given if damaged in transit. Please view the photographs as part of the description.
