A two-coin set from the French Mint (Monnaie de Paris), both issued in 1989: one marking the bicentenary of the Declaration of the Rights of Man, the other the centenary of the Eiffel Tower.
Coin 1 — 100 Francs, "Liberté Égalité Fraternité" / Declaration of the Rights of Man
Obverse depicts a winged genius inscribing the "Droits de l'Homme" (Rights of Man) tablet, design after Augustin Dupré ("D'AP. DUPRÉ"). Reverse bears "Liberté Égalité Fraternité," the Phrygian cap motif, and "100F, 1989" — struck for the bicentenary of the French Revolution and the Declaration.
Coin 2 — 5 Francs, "Tour Eiffel" Centenary
Obverse: perspective view of the Eiffel Tower, designed by F. Joubert, with "Tour Eiffel 1889–1989." Reverse: "République Française, 5F," view of the tower from below, designed by J. Jimenez — marking the tower's 100th anniversary.
