Beautiful polished piece of genuine Burmese amber (Burmite) from Myanmar, dating back to the Mid-Cretaceous, approximately 99 million years old.

This exceptional specimen contains multiple fossil inclusions, including a well-preserved beetle (Order Coleoptera) and several additional insect remains and fragments dispersed throughout the amber matrix. Numerous botanical inclusions, organic debris and plant remains are also visible, providing a fascinating glimpse into an ancient Cretaceous forest ecosystem.

The amber displays a rich golden honey colour and very good transparency, allowing detailed observation of the inclusions.

Burmese amber is among the most scientifically significant fossil resins in the world due to its great age and the extraordinary preservation of prehistoric life.
