Vintage Silver Lapis Lazuli Pendant Necklace
A striking late 20th century modernist silver pendant necklace centred by an oval cabochon of vivid cobalt blue lapis lazuli with natural golden pyrite inclusions.
The pendant is formed as a substantial hammered silver teardrop with a polished raised border and polished ball terminals to the top and bottom. A tubular bail allows the accompanying silver rolo chain to pass freely through the pendant, giving it a clean, architectural appearance.
The pendant and chain together weigh 28.10 grams, giving the necklace a substantial feel when worn.
No legible hallmarks but the necklace has been tested as silver.
