Mirror image of the 1544 engraving "Joseph Telling His Dreams to His Father and Brothers" by the German master Georg Pencz.

Mirror image variations are not uncommon for works by the Nuremberg "Little Masters," as their popularity encouraged other artisans to copy them for the local market, reversing the design during the transfer process onto the plate.

It is likely a contemporary copy (16th or 17th century). These copies were often made by expert engravers who did not sign the work to pass it off as an original.
