The damage must be reported to your local post office within 7 days of delivery, and promptly to us and Catawiki support. 【Product details】 A refined Showa era Japanese tea box set, made for the portable practice and enjoyment of chanoyu. The set is arranged around a lacquered tea box decorated in kinma technique, with delicate red incised designs over a black lacquer ground. It includes a Zeze ware tea bowl, a bottle gourd-shaped furidashi, a chakin-zutsu, lacquer accessories, textile pouches, a bamboo tea whisk and a bamboo tea scoop. The Zeze ware tea bowl is by Oumi Seko. It has a calm grey-toned glaze with an iron-painted arabesque design, giving it a restrained and elegant appearance. The inside of the foot ring bears the artist’s stamp. A fitted textile pouch is included. The bottle gourd-shaped furidashi and chakin-zutsu are Kyo ware pieces by Takano Shoami. They are decorated in vivid overglaze enamels and underglaze blue with pine, bamboo, plum, floral and geometric motifs. The bases bear the “Shoami” signature. The furidashi also comes with its own fitted textile pouch. The kinma lacquer tea box is accompanied by matching lacquer accessories, including a natsume, incense container and tea-scoop stand. A bamboo tea whisk and bamboo tea scoop are also included, with a textile cover for the tea scoop. The set is in good vintage condition overall. There are minor signs of age and use, including light rubbing, small scratches and minor blemishes to the lacquered surfaces, especially on the lid, base and inner tray of the tea box. The outer box has a few minor dents, and there is one tiny lacquer chip on the inner rim. The ceramic pieces, including the tea bowl, furidashi and chakin-zutsu, have no cracks, chips or repairs.
