2019 Chateau de Pibarnon - Bandol - 3 Bottiglie (0,75 L)
A standout vintage from the iconic limestone amphitheatre of La Cadière‑d’Azur, the 2019 Bandol Rouge from Château de Pibarnon captures the noblest expression of Provençal Mourvèdre. Founded in 1978 by Henri and Catherine de Saint‑Victor and now led by their son Éric, the estate has risen to the very top of the appellation thanks to its pioneering work on high‑altitude terraced vineyards and its unwavering pursuit of finesse and precision.
Crafted from the estate’s signature blend (90% Mourvèdre, 10% Grenache), the 2019 reveals a deep, dark robe and an elegant, complex bouquet of black fruits, licorice, leather and wild herbs. Regularly praised by critics, this is a wine of both power and luminosity, built for long ageing.
A benchmark of the Bandol appellation, Pibarnon delivers here a wine of great pedigree: precise, balanced and destined to evolve beautifully. A sought‑after bottle, emblematic of the prestige and longevity of Provence’s greatest reds.
