Il dipinto è stato restaurato anni fa quando l’artista e pittore era ancora in vita, e incorniciato da professionisti specializzati in arte: Schleiper S.A. - N.V. • BRUXELLES-BRUXELLES 1060 Ch. de Charleroi 149 Charleroiestwg.
La cornice è stata realizzata su misura, con materiali di alta qualità, ed è di notevole pregio in ogni dettaglio. La doratura è stata ripristinata e sono state applicate foglie d'oro 18 carati. La foglia d'oro è presente in modo evidente su tutta la superficie esterna della cornice; si vedano le fotografie allegate.

Il dipinto è stato rimosso, rimontato e installazione su una nuova base e tela, con la certificazione e ulteriore firma, da confermare l’originalità e garanzia, del dipinto stesso, e firmato in originale, dal artista e pittore stesso, M.DELMOTTE, incontrato e una volta presentato il quadro rivisto è incorniciato, il quale volentieri è disponibile, a voluto autografare nuovamente, sull’esterno del dipinto stesso, questa volta, come certificazione dell’origine e provenienza, del dipinto e garanzia allo stesso tempo del originalità e autenticità, del dipinto stesso. Quindi il dipinto è una sua opera e originale, dipinto dall’artista stesso anni e anni prima. Si tratta di un'opera antica, quasi centenaria, tra le prime, di molto altri, del pittore belga, nella sua carriera da pittore e artista in generale.
Delmotte fu considerato un pittore realista nella prima parte della sua carriera, influenzato dai modelli del Rinascimento italiano, nonché da Rubens e Ingres. Il presente ritratto risale a questo primo periodo, in cui si possono notare il realismo e la forma quasi scultorea del soggetto. Negli anni '50 si orientò verso uno stile più simbolico, creando composizioni con paesaggi surreali e futuristici.

The painting was restored several years ago and newly framed by professionals specializing in art: Schleiper S.A. - N.V. • BRUSSELS-BRUSSEL 1060 Ch. de Charleroi 149 Charleroiestwg.

The frame was custom-made, made of high-quality materials, and is remarkable throughout. The gold color has been restored and genuine 18k gold leaf has been applied. There is a notable presence of gold leaf on the entire exterior of the frame; see the attached photographs above.
The painting was removed, remounted, and installed on a new base and canvas, with certification and additional signature, confirming the originality and guarantee of the painting itself. The original signature was signed by the artist and painter himself, M. DELMOTTE, who met with him and presented the revised and framed painting. He was happy to autograph it again on the outside of the painting, this time as a certification of the painting's origin and provenance and a guarantee of its originality and authenticity. Therefore, the painting is his original work, painted by the artist himself many years earlier. It is an ancient work, almost a century old, and one of the first, by many others, by the Belgian painter, in his career as a painter and artist in general.
Delmotte was considered to be a realist painter for the first part of his artistic career, influenced by the models of the Italian Renaissance, as well as Rubens and Ingres. The present portrait is of this early period, where the realism and almost sculptural form of the sitter can be seen. By the 1950s he turned towards a more symbolic style creating compositions with surreal landscapes and futuristic.
