The central oval plaque is finely executed in repoussé silver and depicts the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child, surrounded by angels, clouds and a radiant halo. Below is a second silver plaque engraved "Souvenir", also bearing Portuguese silver hallmarks. The silver plaques are mounted on a black wooden backing within a silver-mounted frame, retaining its original easel stand for tabletop display. A charming example of Portuguese devotional silverwork from the late 19th to early 20th century, combining religious significance with decorative appeal.
