Kashiwa Shobo/1984/Japanese/275*195*20
Kiyoshi Fujikawa, born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1930, graduated from a photography school in Tokyo, and worked as a news photographer for many years. However, it was the “Buraku issue” that made Kiyoshi Fujikawa a household name. He documented the Buraku issue, which had long been considered taboo due to human rights concerns and other factors, and won the New Photographer's Award from the Japan Association of Photo Critics for “Buraku,” published in 1960 in collaboration with Takashi Togami, a leading researcher on the Buraku issue. This book contains the illustrations he continued to take as his life's work for nearly 30 years after that, and is a book about the current situation of the Buraku, which remains unchanged in the midst of change, published again in collaboration with Takashi Togami A miraculous collection of records by two brave journalists who took on the challenge of dreaming of the complete elimination of discrimination against the Buraku for the 21st century.
